About Festival
It is already the 9th International Festival of Mime Art taking place in the Theatre Na Woli, Warsaw. This year the festival's program includes performances from France, Russia, Germany, United States and Poland.
This year's festival is a continuation of the returning to the classical pantomime.
Many of the performers of this year's Festival are disciples of the legendary artist Marcel Marceau. 9th Festival gives the opportunity to realize, how different forms, in spite of the same roots, takes the Art of Modern Pantomime.
It is also a tradition, that during the Festival (this year in days from 21st to 26th of August), the largest pantomime workshops in the country take place. The workshops will be conducted by artists from France, Spain, United States and Poland.
From the year 2009 Warsaw Pantomime Centre/ International Mime Art Festival in Theatre Na Woli is working together with other pantomime festivals in the world. By common actions we have hope to bring the art of pantomime even closer to the audience, and to create a space for international events.
