„The Best Of…" is the latest programme from the wunderkind team of Alexander Neander, Wolfram V. Bodecker and Lionel Menard, prepared specially for our festival attendees.

The show will include etudes which have received the greatest acclaim from the audiences and reviewers at the festivals where B&N Compagnie performed.

Bodecker & Neander Compagnie

Wolfram von Bodecker and Alexander Neander found in 1996 the Théâtre Mimo Magique, after graduation at the “École Internationale de Mimodrame de Paris” directed by Marcel Marceau. They have adopted since 2006 the name of Bodecker & Neander Compagnie. The first play “Si- lence” wins the Berlin Audience Award and the next production, “Out of the blue” is a real success as much with the public as with the press. The two artists invent the concept of “Visual Con- cert”: during common representations with large musical ensembles such as the Suttgarter Kam- merorchester, the Arditti Quartet of London or the Gewandhaus-Oktett of Leipzig, the audience discovers a new and fascinating combination between pantomime and music. Many interna- tional tours have led the Compagnie Bodecker & Neander to travel through Europe, Asia, South America, and North America. Thanks to the universal dimension of their visual theater, the two mimes appear to be guests particularly appreciated during international festivals.

With the director Lionel Ménard, the company carry out the musical play “Bonjour, monsieur Satie!” a unique and imaginary creation based upon the music of the French composer Erik Satie, a true tribute to his life and his work. The play has been supported by the Konzerthaus Berlin and has featured regularly in the program of the institution. In November 2007, the musical play “Tulles et son ombre” is premiered at the Philharmonie Luxembourg. Wolfram von Bodecker and Alexander Neander tell the story of the young Tulles in a poetic and colorful way, accompa- nied by the ensemble United Instruments of Lucilin, to the music of the contemporary composer Martin Matalon. In February 2009, the company answered to a strong wish of the public: the now classic and successful play “Silence” is followed up by the new and innovative play “Deja-vu?” , “Opus 4”,”Follow Light” and „The best of…”
