"So I lived a whole life in fear of dying, and now this!"
(Karl Valentin, 1882-1948)
Infinita is a play
about the first and last moments in the puzzle of life and death when the greatest miracles occur: the first appearance in the world, those first brave steps and finally, that first bold fall.
This is a play starring four fabulously masked figures, a very crafty game of shadows and some truly enchanting music. A game of transience, of being born and of growing old.
A vigorous succession of scenes about the inevitable fate of the human being.
Life itself that creative force that lets us triumph and fail plays the star role.
Infinita is a tangible mosaic of life,
simply and virtuously composed; a brief insight into the eternity of birth,
sex and death and everything else that is odd.

is an international pool of theater
makers, actors, musicians, dancers, directors, mask-, light-,
set and costume designers, dramatic advisors and other good souls from ten nations.
It is a moving yet bizarre family that
apparently rose up from the dark womb of the earth through a long shaft to reach daylight for the very first time. It was this very image that put Familie Flöz on the map of international theater in
Behind this metaphor is also the philosophy of an entirely distinct working method of this ever-changing group of theater makers.
Each play is developed in a collective
working process and awakens a new universe inhabited
by characters and stories that cleared their path from obscurity to light.
Through constant rediscovery of
century-old disciplines such as acting, mask theater, dance, clownery,
acrobatics, magic and improvisation, Familie Flöz creates theater experiences of a unique poetry.
Since 2001, Berlin is the base of Familie Flöz.
Wordless and yet somehow so expressive, full of yearning and yet also filled with joy; this is splendid and immensely skillful character comedy.
Their masks astonish from the word go at how happiness, disappointment and confusion and every little thing in between can be communicated with gestures (...) No words! Just applause!
The public squeals with enthusiasm, people stomp their feet and, when it is all over, they stand on their chairs as if thanking the performers for the gift they have just received. Theater can be magnificent.
BERLINER ZEITUNG (D)
At the end of a performance one could swear that the actors had spoken, laughed and cried. A fascinating experiment in theater that is executed with incredible body control. (...) One of the most peculiar theatre project of our times. (...) Familie Flöz tells stories with a humor, a charm and a furor that seems to be addictive.
SÜDDEUTSCHE ZEITUNG (D)
A creation of great poetic power that will long be remembered.
EL MUNDO (ES)
